Departure in the morning from Ouarzazate by 4×4, passing the lake, palm groves and historic kasbahs of Skoura to reach El Kelâa des Mgouna, the gateway to the Valley of Roses. Walk along the M’Goun wadi, passing through the traditional villages of Aït Saïd, Tourbist, Tamalout and Bou Tharar. Visit the historic Aït Youl Kasbah (optional). Marvel at the stunning scenery of the Dadès Valley, before driving through Boumalne Dadès and Tinghir to the magnificent Todra Gorges for a short walk. Dinner and lodging in a charming guesthouse.
After breakfast, drive through the lush Draa Valley via N’Kob and Tansikht, famous for its vast palm groves and traditional fortified villages. Then we continue to Zagora for lunch, before heading off in a 4×4 across the vast Hamada desert to the Sacred Oasis. Late afternoon arrival at the majestic Erg Chegaga dunes. Here you will enjoy a camel ride at sunset, a traditional dinner with nomadic entertainment, and an unforgettable night in a comfortable desert camp.
Rise early to watch a spectacular sunrise over the dunes before breakfast back at camp. Travel off-road between the dunes of Erg Chegaga and the dry riverbed of the Draa, crossing the vast landscapes of the Iriqui Lake National Park. Drive on to Foum Zguid and visit Taznakht, famous for its traditional Berber carpets. Return to your accommodation in Ouarzazate in the late afternoon.
