Embark on a mesmerizing 7-Day Trip from Tangier and immerse yourself in the captivating beauty and rich history of Morocco. This journey will take you from the vibrant city of Tangier to iconic destinations like Casablanca, Fes, and the enchanting blue city of Chefchaouen. Prepare to be enchanted by the diverse landscapes, cultural treasures, and warm hospitality of Northern Morocco.
On the first day of your 6-day journey from Tangier, we’ll pick you up from the port and travel through the scenic Rif Mountains and Tetouan. Our first stop is Chefchaouen, a picturesque village known for its blue-washed streets and lively Medina. Here, you can explore the charming square, browse local crafts, and enjoy lunch at a rooftop café. In the afternoon, we’ll continue to Fes, where you’ll settle in for the night, ready to explore more of Morocco’s rich history and culture.
Following breakfast, we’ll embark on a comprehensive exploration of Fes, the oldest of Morocco’s imperial cities, and its historic Medina. Founded by Idriss II, Fes is a hub of Arab-Muslim culture, boasting attractions such as the Mosque of the Andalusians, tanneries, the pottery district, and the Medina itself. Lunch will be served in a palace within the Medina. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Hispano-Moorish buildings and the Nejjarine Medersas.
After breakfast, our journey leads us southwards to Ifran and Azrou, passing through the captivating Middle Atlas Mountains. En route, we’ll make a stop at the cedar forests to witness monkeys in their natural habitat. As we traverse the Tizi Ntalghamt pass and admire the scenic Ziz gorges carved into volcanic rock, the landscape will transition to desert terrain as we approach Errachidia. After lunch, we’ll continue our route through the Ziz Valley, passing through Erfoud, Rissani, and Merzouga. Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy mint tea, then proceed to a Berber camp nestled in the Erg Chebbi dunes, North Africa’s tallest sand dunes. A 1.5-hour camel trek will take us to the camp, where we’ll spend the night in traditional Berber tents. The tents are equipped with mattresses, blankets, and pillows. After dinner, gather around the campfire to savor traditional Berber songs and drumming beneath the starry desert sky.
After breakfast, depart for Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Explore the city’s historical treasures, including the Royal Palace, the Hassan Tower, and the charming Kasbah of the Udayas. Take a leisurely stroll through the picturesque Andalusian Gardens and immerse yourself in the city’s rich cultural heritage.
Following breakfast, we’ll venture through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat M’Gouna and Ouarzazate, traversing the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, providing ample opportunities for picturesque photos. We’ll visit the Valley of Roses and the charming village of Skoura before reaching Ouarzazate, known as “the Hollywood of Africa.” Lunch will be enjoyed at the renowned Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, the largest Kasbah in Morocco, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Our journey continues through the majestic Tizi n’Tichka pass, reaching an altitude of 2260 meters in the High Atlas Mountains, where we’ll pause to savor the breathtaking views. In the late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Marrakech.
Today, we’ll explore Marrakech, often referred to as “the Red City of Morocco.” Our local guide will ensure you discover the city’s historical and culturally significant sites, including the Koutoubia Mosque minaret, Saadian Tombs, the magnificent Bahia Palace, and the Ben Youssef Koranic School. As we stroll through the streets, you’ll have the opportunity to witness various artisans in the medina practicing their crafts. Our tour will culminate in the iconic Djamaa El Fna square. Lunch will be served at a restaurant nearby, followed by an afternoon visit to the Majorelle Gardens and a glimpse of Gueliz, the city’s modern district. In the evening, immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of Djamaa El Fna, where magicians, storytellers, street performers, and food vendors provide entertainment.
